It is in autumn that all the professionals in the audiovisual field meet in Cannes, more precisely at the Palais des Festivals. For a few days, MIPCOM brings together all the players who produce or buy audiovisual content.
An important show in Cannes
Cannes is not only the famous Festival in May. It is also a number of trade fairs, including the MIPCOM or International Market for Communication Programmes. This event brings together an average of 14,000 professionals from over 100 countries. TV programme professionals, but also purchasing managers for digital platforms or SVOD services, this is the show to be at to renew your programmes.

In 2020, the 36ᵉ edition takes place. Normally, the show lasts four days, reduced this year to 3 days due to the health crisis. A digital platform, MIPCOM Online+, has been set up to allow participants to discover the new products available.

Each edition has its own theme. In 2019, for example, ecology and thrillers were the main themes. The year before, China was in the spotlight. In 2020, social progress will be highlighted.
